Mid range Yacht Charter Package
8 day private yacht charter holiday around Nosy Be & surrounding islands
Itinerary
Spend 7 glorious days aboard a 36ft catamaran sailing between the various islands and ports of Northern Madagascar’s pristine coastline. Visit remote islands, coves, marine reserves and mangroves, local villages and markets and the resident Lemurs. Enjoy diving, snorkeling, sea-kayaking, fishing and swimming. All meals provided on board as per itinerary. Accommodation on board.
DAY 1: Arrival to Nosy Be D
Arrive in Nosy Be in the evening and transfer to Madirokely beach where you will board the yacht and enjoy your first evening moored at Madirokely, whilst you experience your first taste of the fabulous seafood.
Day 2: Nosy Be - Grand Mitsio BLD
We pull anchor and set off for the Mitsios via the four brothers (4 small volcanic islets) and the organ pipes. The Mitso islands are approximately 70km north of Nosy Be. They are wild and unpredictable, and are seen as the crème de la crème for dedicated divers who wish to explore the numerous and varied sites. We sail for approximately 6 hours, enjoying the opportunity to fish during the trip. Overnight at the island “Grand Mitsio”.
Day 3: Grand Mitsio BLD
Enjoy a day of decadence and relaxation. We visit the local village, after which we depart for Ankarea (about 1 hours sail). Ankarea is a basaltic island with white sandy beaches, where we will spend the day swimming, snorkeling and take our lunch. The afternoon is spent fishing, or just chilling by the yacht, before we return to Grand Mitsio for the evening.
DAY 4: Grand Mitsio - Nosy Sakatia BLD
Today we make our journey back to Nosy Sakatia, via Tsarabanjina for lunch and snorkelling, and the four brothers. Enjoy the shimmering blue water, and maybe pop into Sakatia Lodge for a sundowner.
DAY 5: Nosy Sakatia – Nosy Komba (via Tanikely) BLD
We depart early from Sakatia, to arrive at Nosy Tanikely before the lunchtime crowds. Spend the morning snorkeling with turtles and rainbow coloured fish within this incredible marine reserve. We then move onto Nosy Komba where we get to meet lemurs very close! Wander through the local market on this small island, and marvel at the hand woven tablecloths – typical of this area.
DAY 6: Nosy Komba – Lokobe Reserve BLD
Today we spend a leisurely day around Lokobie reserve – wander amongst the mangroves, explore the Robinson Crusoe island at leisure, or use the sea kayak to discover the waters around the reserve.
Enjoy a farewell dinner onboard the yacht.
DAY 7: Lokobie reserve – Madirokely to Tana BL
After breakfast, return to Madirokely beach for your airport transfer to Nosy Be airport and goodbyes from the yacht staff. You will fly the 55 minutes from Nosy Be to TNR, where you will be met at the airport & transferred to Au Bois Vert Hotel (or similar) for your overnight stay. We can pre arrange a city tour, or a visit to the handicrafts market should you require (additional cost).
DAY 8: Antananarivo - Johannesburg B
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tana airport for your flight home.
